Villino Rubini is a private estate above Lake Como, not a hotel with staff and guests coming and going. Whether you are here for a weekend or a week, you have the same 10 rooms, the same roughly 4 acres of grounds, and the house on hand for transport and local recommendations when asked.
Mornings mean Italian breakfast, often on the terrace. Afternoons mean the gardens, the heated* saltwater pool, or the Wellness and Fitness Area below the villa. The pace is set by the people staying, not by a schedule.

One Company at a Time
The estate takes one company at a time on exclusive hire. A team has 10 rooms, sleeping for 19, the Dependance seating 20 in boardroom layout, 4 smaller meeting spaces for 12, 8, 7 and 4, and the gardens. The saltwater pool, the sauna and the gym are available at a per day price, quoted in the proposal. Pool heating is on request at an additional charge.
A change of setting works because it is a genuine change. No lobby, no other groups, no hotel conference floor. Just a private house above Lake Como, and a team with the run of it.
Yoga, meditation and wellness retreat groups take the estate on the same exclusive hire: the house provides the rooms, the meals and the staff, and the group brings its own teacher.

Getting Here
The estate is at Via Giacomo Scalini 62, 22034 Brunate (CO), in the hills above Lake Como. Milan Malpensa is about 1 hour by car and Como is about 15 minutes. Milano Centrale reaches Como in under 40 minutes by train.
Without a car, the funicular climbs from the Como lakeside to Brunate in 7 minutes, and the estate is above the village. Private parking is on site. Tell us your arrival time when you book and we will advise on the last part of the journey.
